As GENERATION ONE, we are the first generation of humans on this Earth to be aware of ourselves as one planetary body, affecting our own evolution by everything we do, realizing we can destroy ourselves through the misuse of our new power or evolve ourselves into a universal species that is capable of more than we can currently imagine.

As Generation One, we can create a new template for society and literally BECOME the human pioneers for a new era.

No one has “crossed the gap” from planetary breakdown to global breakthrough by harnessing our radical new capacities and technologies. The human technologies of personal and social evolution are now accelerating to keep pace with our rapid technological evolution.

In The Generation One Intensive we will make real progress in realizing astonishing new self and social capacities to respond to our crises and opportunities.

We will lift the lid from the top of our individual vocations and expand our worldview to step forward as the first members of Generation One.

Let’s dare to live the truth that we truly ARE the ones we’ve been waiting for. For millions of years, we’ve evolved largely by chance; now it is time for evolution by choice.

In the Generation One Intensive, we will be doing advanced work in personal transformation as well as developing the ability to bring unitive consciousness forward and build the capacities to realize our vocations in cooperative actions that repattern our society.

As David Gershon, one of our training faculty puts it, it has become obvious that Social Change 1.0 cannot resolve issues like climate change. Only Social Change 2.0 – the empowerment of new social design and people working en masse through social cooperation – can possibly scale up to respond to the new conditions we face.

We will be activating the expression of the highest frequencies of our inner being with the learning of new social capacities to actualize our vocations of destiny.

This entire intensive will be an incubator of new capacities for empowerment of life purpose.

Part 1 of the Intensive will focus on Personal Revelations and Practices to Embody Our New Humanity. Our lead pioneer Barbara Marx Hubbard will work deeply in every class with her most advanced realizations that have been distilled into the “52 Codes for Conscious Self-Evolution.” They will become a shared practice for the six months. They help integrate all levels of our consciousness to become Whole Beings as we feel the amazing energies of the Impulse of Creation working through us.

We will participate consciously in a metamorphosis process, drawing from Barbara’s most profound spiritual experiences, as chronicled in unpublished journals, and experienced in her own personal Christ experiences – all to trigger your own metamorphosis. Each week we’ll be guided by advanced coaching practices for awakening and transformation.

Barbara will be joined by pioneering co-teachers who will teach us to traverse the foundational stages of the inner journey toward universal humanhood or “ultrahumanity.” This is a new word coined by Teilhard de Chardin and developed by Ilia Delio, meaning the evolving human, imbued with the evolutionary expression of love, connecting in creativity with the rapidly growing noosphere – the thinking layer of Earth.

David Gershon of the Empowerment Institute will start us off in Part 1 and return in Part 2 to offer his training in social capacities, moving us from unitive consciousness to social actualization. Over the full six months, we will practice this in our small group work, which will foster evolutionary communion and effective action among us.

The small group work will begin to stabilize and deepen our practice of being our Essential Selves, and then we will move into our vocations to find partners and join with each other in the 12 Spheres of Life – the sectors of society represented in Barbara’s Wheel of Cocreation.. We will also develop skills and capacities to build conscious evolutionary circles as communicators and leaders during the next era.

PART 2 of the Intensive will, for the first time, begin the description of the Self-Actualizing Society and the Social Potential Movement. In the 1960’s, the Human Potential Movement was vitally inspired by Abraham Maslow’s first description of human wellness, joyful, happy, beneficent people. He mapped the Self-Actualizing Person. Now, in the new era of evolution, we will build upon the human potential movement to map the peaks of the Social Potential Movement in every field and function, leading us toward the Self-Actualizing Society

About Barbara and Co-Faculty

Barbara Marx Hubbard is co-founder and chairperson of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. An evolutionary educator, speaker and social innovator, she is the author of six books communicating the new worldview of conscious evolution, including the bestselling Birth 2012 and Beyond.

In 1945, when she was 15 years old, the first atomic bombs were dropped on Japan. This terrible act prompted Barbara to ask the fundamental question: “What is the meaning of our new power that can be used for the good? And “What are positive images of the future equal to these new powers?” This defining moment propelled her on her life’s quest to find answers to these questions. The insights she has gained has led to her definitive message of hope that “our crisis is a birth” of a more universal human and universal humanity.

Dr. Jean Houston, scholar, philosopher and researcher in human capacities, is one of the foremost visionary thinkers and doers of our time, one of the principal founders of the Human Potential Movement. Chris Bache, Ph.D., is professor emeritus in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Youngstown State University where he taught for over 30 years in psychology of religion, transpersonal studies, Buddhism, and world religions. He is also adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and for two years was the Director of Transformative Learning at the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, CA.

An award-winning teacher and international speaker, his work explores the philosophical implications of deep non-ordinary states of consciousness, especially psychedelic states. He has written a pioneering book in psychedelic philosophy and collective consciousness, Dark Night, Early Dawn: Steps to a Deep Ecology of Mind. In addition, he has written Lifecycles: Reincarnation and the Web of Life, a comprehensive study of reincarnation and karma in light of new information emerging in contemporary consciousness research. In his book The Living Classroom, Chris presents his revolutionary ideas concerning the transpersonal dimensions of teaching. In addition to working with sacred medicines, Chris has been a Buddhist practitioner for many years.

Ilia Delio, OSF is Director of Catholic Studies and Visiting Professor at Georgetown Universe. Her research and writing concentrates in the area of Science and Religion, including theistic evolution and transhumanism/ultrahumanism. She is the author of fourteen books including The Unbearable Wholeness of Being: God, Evolution and the Power of Love (Orbis, 2013) and The Emergent Christ: Exploring the Meaning of Catholic in an Evolutionary Universe (Orbis Books, 2011).

Bruce Sanguin serves Canadian Memorial Church in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been an ordained minister for 25 years and has served Canadian Memorial for 15 years. Bruce states that the core purpose of his congregation is to teach and practice evolutionary Christian spirituality, and he believes that if God is involved with reality as science has so revealed, then God is involved in the evolutionary process. Bruce is author of four books; the most recent is If Darwin Prayed: Prayers for Evolutionary Mystics

Dr. Michael Beckwith’s life is a living testament to building spiritual community. Gifted with a vision of a trans-denominational spiritual community based in the new thought-ancient wisdom traditions, in 1986 he founded the Agape International Spiritual Center where thousands gather weekly to receive inspiration from Dr. Beckwith in Culver City, California.

Don Oscar Miro-Quesada is a respected Peruvian kamasqa curandero, UN Observer to the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, OAS Fellow in Ethnopsychology, originator of Pachakuti Mesa cross-cultural shamanism, and founder of The Heart of the Healer Foundation. Oscar has dedicated his life to the revitalization of ethnospiritual wisdom traditions as a way to restore sacred trust between humankind and the natural world. A popular international teacher and master ceremonialist, his work has been featured on CNN, Univision, A&E, and the Discovery Channel.

The Rev. Michael Dowd is one of the most inspiring speakers in America today. He is the author of Thank God for Evolution: How the Marriage of Science and Religion Will Transform Your Life and Our World, a book endorsed by 6 Nobel laureates and other science luminaries, including noted skeptics, and by religious leaders across the spectrum. He and his wife, Connie Barlow, an acclaimed science writer and family educator, have spoken tomore than 1,500 groups, as “America’s evolutionary evangelists”, since launching their itinerant ministry in 2002.

Katharine Roske is the Co-Founder and Community Steward of the Hummingbird Community. A long held vision came into reality for her in 1996 when a core group within Global Family founded the Hummingbird Community. The manifestation of this dream has provided the playground for her to deepen in her life purpose of co-creating a planetary culture that is a living embodiment of our spiritual essence. She plays a central role at the core of the community as a steward, social architect, global ambassador, ceremonialist, and active contributor to the newly developed Hummingbird Center for a Co-Creative World and is currently co-teaching the tele-course, “Living Co-Creation.” Katharine is co-author with Carolyn Anderson of The Co-Creator’s Handbook: an Experiential Guide for Discovering your Life’s Purpose and Building a Co-Creative Society. Richard Ruster, Ph.D. is an Executive Steward and Economic Development Director of Hummingbird Community, a consciousness-based eco-community in Northern New Mexico (www.Hummingbirdcommunity.org) and has been a community steward since 1998. Richard is the Economic Dimension Coordinator for the 2007-8 Ecovillage Design Training Program based in Albuquerque. It is endorsed by the United Nations (UNITAR -United Nations Institute for Training and Research) as part of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2004-2013 During the 1980’s Richard was on the core team that developed Boulder Graduate School, where he was founding chairperson for the Holistic Health and Wellness Department. In 1990, the school merged into Naropa University, in Boulder Colorado, bringing its primary program of Transpersonal Counseling, which immediately became Naropa’s largest program.

Richard’s doctorate is in holistic psychology and whole systems science. His studies combined with his professional and community experience have matured into his life work as a path maker into synthesis culture. He is author of The Homing Process: A Unifying Theory of Evolving Systems (1989), and is currently working on two books, The Human Dream: Cultivating A Healthy, Happy World for Everyone. Peter Merry is an author, speaker, global activist, leader, consultant, trainer, synnervator, human ecologist, father, folk singer, theatre director, rugby trainer, husband, energy worker… Peter wears a number of hats. In his essence, he morphs to fit the need that he feels he is being called to meet in the world today. In that context, the roles he currently plays include: Executive Vice-President of Ubiquity University Undergraduate Programs (coming in May 2013); the founder of the Center for Human Emergence, Netherlands, formed in 2005 to facilitate the Netherlands through the current transition and learn for the world, and a Synnervator in CHE Synnervate; Director of Wisdom University in Europe; the founder and Director of the Hague Center for Global Governance, Innovation and Emergence, founded in 2008 to support, learn about and promote innovative integral approaches to the global challenges that humanity faces today; a Fellow of the Center for Human Ecology in the UK. Sister Helen Prejean has been instrumental in sparking national dialogue on the death penalty and helping to shape the Catholic Church’s newly vigorous opposition to state executions. She travels around the world giving talks about her ministry. She considers herself a southern storyteller.

Sister Helen is a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph. She spent her first years with the Sisters teaching religion to junior high school students. Realizing that being on the side of poor people is an essential part of the Gospel she moved into the St. Thomas Housing Project in New Orleans and began working at Hope House from 1981 – 1984.

During this time, she was asked to correspond with a death row inmate Patrick Sonnier at Angola. She agreed and became his spiritual adviser. After witnessing his execution, she wrote a book about the experience. The result was Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States. It became a movie, an opera and a play for high schools and colleges.

Since 1984, Sister Helen has divided her time between educating citizens about the death penalty and counseling individual death row prisoners. She has accompanied six men to their deaths. In doing so, she began to suspect that some of those executed were not guilty. This realization inspired her second book, The Death of Innocents: An Eyewitness Account of Wrongful Executions, which was released by Random House in December of 2004.

Elisabet Sahtouris, M.S., Ph.D. is an evolution biologist, futurist, professor, speaker, author and consultant to businesses, government agencies and other organizations. She is a US and Greek citizen living in Spain while lecturing, doing workshops and media appearances in Europe, North, Central and South America, the MidEast, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.

Dr. Sahtouris received a B.F.A. from Syracuse University, an M.S. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from Dalhousie University in Canada. She held post-doctoral research grants at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and at Massachusetts General Hospital, taught at the Mass. Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Massachusetts and the Bainbridge Graduate Institute’s MBA program. Dr. Sahtouris was a science writer for Public TV (WGBH Boston/ BBC London), was invited to China as a guest of the Chinese National Science Organization, is a Fellow of the World Business Academy, a consultant to Ethical Markets and a member of the Evolutionary Leaders. She was a regular columnist for ex-CEO of Mitsubishi Tachi Kiuchi’s newsletter The Bridge, published in Tokyo for the Japanese Parliament and business leadership, co-convened two international symposia on the Foundations of Science in Hokkaido, Japan and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was a UN consultant on indigenous peoples. Dr. Sahtouris participated in two invitational dialogues with HH the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India and in the Vatican, Rome, and is one of the people identified as Cultural Creatives in the book of that title by Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson.

James O’Dea is a well-known figure in international social healing who has conducted healing and reconciliation dialogues for 15 years. He is currently the co-director of The Social Healing Project, whose work has led him to Rwanda, Israel/Palestine and Northern Ireland. In addition to teaching the Path of the Peacemaker and Peace Ambassador Training programs at The Shift Network, he is also on the extended faculty of the Institute of Noetic Sciences and is its immediate past president. The former Washington office director of Amnesty International and CEO of the Seva Foundation, O’Dea is a member of The Evolutionary Leaders Group founded by Deepak Chopra. His most recent book, Creative Stress: A Path for Evolving Souls Living through Personal and Planetary Upheaval (2010), was featured and reviewed in dozens of media outlets.

James is committed to dialogue as a practice and is engaged in dialogues at SEED Graduate Institute between native elders, physicists, and thought leaders; between Israeli and Palestinian psychologists and social workers; and contributes to dialogue on systems thinking and government policy making with the Washington, D.C.-based Global Systems Initiatives. In August 2010, O’Dea was recognized with the honor of “Champion of Peace, Reconciliation and Forgiveness” by the Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance. James lectures and gives workshops all over the world and was a keynote speaker at the Berlin Peace Festival in August 2011. He is also an advisory board member of the Peace Alliance and is working on a book called Cultivating Peace, to be published in 2012.

Bruce H. Lipton, PhD is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. Stem cell biologist, bestselling author of The Biology of Belief and recipient of the 2009 Goi Peace Award, he has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for national and international conferences.

Dr. Lipton began his scientific career as a cell biologist. He received his Ph.D. Degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville before joining the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine in 1973. Dr. Lipton’s research on muscular dystrophy, studies employing cloned human stem cells, focused upon the molecular mechanisms controlling cell behavior.

In 1982, Dr. Lipton began examining the principles of quantum physics and how they might be integrated into his understanding of the cell’s information processing systems. He produced breakthrough studies on the cell membrane, which revealed that this outer layer of the cell was an organic homologue of a computer chip, the cell’s equivalent of a brain. His research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, between 1987 and 1992, revealed that the environment, operating though the membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off. His discoveries, which ran counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes, presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics.

Dr. Lipton’s novel scientific approach transformed his personal life as well. His deepened understanding of cell biology highlighted the mechanisms by which the mind controls bodily functions, and implied the existence of an immortal spirit. He applied this science to his personal biology, and discovered that his physical well-being improved, and the quality and character of his daily life was greatly enhanced. He has been heartened by anecdotal reports from hundreds of former audience members who have improved their spiritual, physical and mental well being by applying the principles he discusses in his lectures. He is regarded as one of the leading voices of the new biology.
